Amman - Gendarmerie Directorate Director General Maj. Gen. Tawfiq Tawalbeh on Friday met his French counterpart Jacques Mignaux to discuss prospects of cooperation between their police agencies.
Mignaux's visit comes to boost cooperation between the two countries' Gendarmeries in training, security and technical assistance fields.
The French National Gendarmerie is a founding member of the Association of the European and Mediterranean Police Forces and Gendarmeries with Military Status (FIEP), which Jordan has joined recently.
