Jordan French Insurance Company (JOFICO) registered a JD4.05 million loss last year compared to JD2.4 million profit in 2005. Motor insurance recorded the largest loss of JD2.52 million followed by medical insurance at JD0.49 million and fire and other damage to property posting JD0.34 million loss.
In line with the requirements of the Insurance Commission, the company plans to increase its capital from JD6.5 million to JD8 million before the end of 2007.
