Jaidah Group's pioneering new venture Cummins Qatar is ready for business

Doha, Qatar - January 21, 2011: Jaidah Heavy Equipment, a subsidiary of Jaidah Group - one of the most influential and successful conglomerates operating in Qatar - announced late last year a pioneering partnership with the US-based engine manufacturer, Cummins Inc.  On January 15, this new enterprise opened for business as Cummins Qatar.

Jaidah Heavy Equipment had been the sole supplier and official dealer for Cummins Inc. in Qatar for more than  20 years and as demand increased for Cummins' products, the two companies decided that full partnership in the guise of a new company was the way forward. The idea for Cummins Qatar was born and the new company is now responsible for all business transactions previously handled by  Jaidah Group; beginning January 15^th 2012.

Cummins Qatar will get off to a fine start, operating out of a renovated showroom and workshop in Doha's Industrial Area, and will provide the full range of Cummins' world-leading products, which include engines and related technologies, fuel systems, controls, air handling, filtration, emission solutions and electrical power generation systems. The Doha facility also houses a technical area for the provision of after-sales service.

The advent of Cummins Qatar gives both companies the opportunity to align goals and perform as one company, delivering the full power of the Cummins brand to meet every customer need. Furthermore, this partnership combines a workforce with diverse skill sets, knowledge and talent, that understands complex issues at local levels, which is key to meeting the business aim of delivering consistent and superior customer service.   

Jaidah Group's Chief Operating Officer, Bengt Schultz, commented, "Jaidah Group has been representing Cummins in Qatar for some time and seen demand for its products steadily rise.
