Dahuk / Karbala, May 18 (AKnews) - In the ongoing dispute between the Kurdish government and the federal government in Baghdad over the authority over certain provinces, Kurdish politicians now demanded to transfer the budget of disputed provinces to Kurdistan.
Mahma Khalil, a Yazidi deputy of the Kurdistan Blocs Coalition (KBC), said on Wednesday, the budget of Nineveh, Diyala, Salahaddin and Kirkuk provinces should be transferred to the Kurdish budget.
"The Kurdistan Regional Government does a lot for cities like Sinjar, Shekhan", Mr Khalil said.
"We want their budget to be pa part of the Kurdish budget instead of the budget of Nineveh province."
The Kurdish Parliament is currently discussing the budget plan for 2011, based on a draft by the Council of Ministers of Kurdistan from February.
