TEHRAN - One hundred and seventy-one MPs voted in favor of a request from 43 lawmakers for an investigation into the Central Bank of Iran on Sunday.  

Of the 256 MPs present for the Majlis session, 36 voted against the request, and 21 abstained.

The request calls for an investigation into the central bank's performance in the foreign exchange market and a number of other issues.
