Belgrade - A contract at the value of $1.3 million on procurement of bogie parts used in railway industry was signed between Iran and Serbia on Friday.

Iranian Ambassador to Serbia Majid Fahimpour said signing of the contract proves mutual will of officials in Tehran and Belgarde to improve relations in economic areas, as well as cultural and tourism fields.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, he welcomed presence of Serbian businessmen and investors in Iran and said the Islamic Republic is ready to facilitate their cooperation with Iranian counterparts.

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Domestic Trade and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić said his country is interested in increasing its ties with Iran in trade and economic fields.

He said Serbia is ready to raise the level of cooperation with Iran in car manufacturing, tourism, agriculture, construction and trade.
