Iran Reaches South Pars 9-10 Production Target
The manager of the South Pars Phases 9 and 10 development at Pars Oil and Gas (POGC), Esmail Galehdari, told reporters on 20 February that the project’s output target of 50mn cmd had been reached. The development of Phases 9-10 was originally intended to be completed in 2008, but has been delayed by sanctions (MEES , 16 January). “Gas production from the two phases has climbed from 35mn cmd to 50mn cmd after the completion of 23 new wells,” he said. He also noted that 15mn cmd of South Pars Phases 6-8 gas that were being processed in the completed Phases 9-10 sweetening units would be redirected for injection in the Aghajari oil field.
