Iran and Vietnam agreed on touching 500 million dollarsˈ worth of trade exchange in a five-year term.
The two reached the agreement during the eighth joint economic commission session held in the Vietnamese capital, Hanoi.
The joint commission sessions were held with participation of Iranˈs Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Mehdi Ghazanfari and the Vietnamese Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat.
The Iranian minister said the seventh joint economic commission between Tehran and Hanoi was held in January 2012, hoping the two would make all-out efforts to materialize the figure agreed during the next meeting.
The two ministers also inked an agreement on expansion of bilateral cultural cooperation.
Such an agreement was signed to mark the 40th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The worth of bilateral trade exchanges stood at 204 million dollars past year, 190 million dollars of which belonged to Iranˈs exports to that country.
Following his visits to East Asia, the Iranian trade minister is planned to travel to Bangladesh to participate in the joint economic commission session.
