Interior urged to control immoral activities taking place in Kuwait
Al Juwaihel challenges bloc to submit grilling against Al Shamali
"We fully support the plan which Interior Ministry has allotted to control such bad practices and behaviors," said Al-Tabtabaei.
MP Osama Al-Munawer praised the efforts taken by Ministry of Interior to control immoral activities in the nation, stressing that there is no need to legislate any new laws.
He insisted that strict action should be taken against such behaviors so that the traditions of the Kuwaiti society or its values are not negatively affected.
MP Ahmad Bin Motee' noted that there has been a noticeable spread of inappropriate behaviors in the Kuwaiti society which should be handled with decisive procedures so that the youths and the country's future are not influenced.
"We support the ministry's procedures aimed to deter such malpractices which are committed at some cafés that have been turned into dens for vices," said he.
Meanwhile, Criminal Investigation Department has formed a team comprising of female police officers to launch impromptu crackdowns in beauty centers, cafés and swimming pools that are exclusively for women, to control any immoral activities.
Sources said this step will help in avoiding the embarrassment securitymen experience when they are forced to carry out campaigns in places exclusively meant for women.
In another development, MP Nabil Al-Fadhel submitted a draft law to impose one to three years imprisonment or a fine of KD 1,000 or both against those who insult the flag of Kuwait, reports Al-Anba daily.
Meanwhile, MP Mohammed Al-Juwaihel says he will submit the grilling request against Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Sheikh Ahmad Al-Humoud next week, reports Al-Shahed daily.
He challenged the members of the parliamentary majority bloc to submit a grilling request against Finance Minister Mustapha Al-Shamali, accusing some lawmakers of tricking their voters with their words alone and without taking any tangible steps to turn those words into action.
