Human Dimension Launches The First Annual Thomas International Middle East Conference

Kuwait. 4^th, April 2010 - The First Annual Thomas International Middle East Conference was held under the patronage and presence of the Chairman of Educational Holding Group (Edu) , Chairman of the Board of Trustees of GU for Science & Technology, Dr. Abdul Rahman Saleh Al-Muhailan. The Conference was attended by many local, regional and international experts representing Educational Holding Group and subsidiaries (EDU) , Al-Tanmiya Holding, Thomas International - UK, and Human Dimensions Company. It was also attended by many investors, customers, consultants and partners from 13 countries across the Middle East.

During the Occasion, Dr. Al-Muhailan said that the main objective of the Conference is to highlight the importance of education as a whole along with uniting the educational life cycle under one umbrella, asserting that this will lead to integrity of both performance and services and thus attain the results required to meet the greatest challenges posed in our future regarding human capital development.

He added that education is a lifelong non-stop process that requires ongoing assessment and follow up due to the constant change around us. "Human development became a necessity not a luxury," he asserted.

"We can bring in all the latest technologies, and build the most modern-looking buildings, but if we don't have the right and well-trained minds and the right skills then all these latest tools will be ineffective and inefficient," he said, confirming, once again, that education does not end at the tertiary level, but it is a continuous cycle that needs to be well-maintained at all times, concluding that the conference marks a remarkable milestone in Edu's journey of providing quality education at all human development stages.

On his part, edu CEO, Dr. Badr Alzaid Altraiji, said that Al-Tanmiya is the part of Edu that already embraced the notion of investing in human capital, noting that AlTanmiya is a holding group which is taking a repositioning strategy in the market through its offering of the whole human development package including recruitment, training, development, and people assessment.

He said that the company is moving on the right track and that this event is but a beginning of a series of events that touch on human capital development topics and issues to establish a sound infrastructure towards human development.

He Positioned Kuwait as the regional hub for human capital development in the region, promising that the purpose and existence of AlTanmiya will be to deliver the "best-fit" tools to help clients carefully structure and enhance their organizations "so that what's usually achieved in ten years can be achieved in five."

Al-Tanmiya Acting CEO, Ghassan Dahdouli, introduced the company as Altanmiya Holding which was established as an Investment Company, is deeply committed to the development of Human Capital, recognizing it as the most valuable asset in today's corporate world.

He added that AlTanmiya has made significant investments in a diversified portfolio of companies, operating in the Middle East, North Africa and the USA, focusing in human capital, training, organizational development and management.

Dahdouli also conducted a comparison between human capital investment and financial investment pointing out that the first should be the basis for any other type of investment, noting that the company has chosen Thomas International as the best tool in the market. He also made an announcement that in late 2010, the company will issue an annual award called "The Best Company to Work for Award."

Al-Asaad added that the main aim of HD is to provide assistance during the recruitment, selection and development process by introducing the latest concepts and systems of assessment available in the regional and international market and customize them to meet the local culture and standards, thus maximizing efficiency, accuracy and profitability of organization's human investment leading to high performance and return on investment.

The final speech was held by The International Director of Thomas International UK Rod Cornwell Rod Cornwell who said that the importance of Thomas International Company lies in the fact of its 30 year experience in the market as a global provider of "people assessment tools" to help employees and employers improve performance and the bottom-line (profits), adding that the company has been offering its services and products through 35000 companies in 50 languages around the world. Mr. Rod Cornwell has been invited to provide a four-day training session to the HD partners on the Thomas Products.

At the end of the Conference, Human Dimensions announced the award of Thomas International Middle East Partner of the Year 2010 which was given to an Egyptian Partner - AB & Associates Management Consultant.
