Training courses are accredited by American Heart Association
United Arab Emirates, Dubai, May 3, 2012: The Dubai Health Authority has set up a training centre at Hatta Hospital to train healthcare professionals and the community on cardiovascular courses.

The training courses are all accredited by the American Heart Association.

Dr. Khalil Qayed, Director of Medical Education in Dubai Health Authority said the aim of such continuing medical education programs is to further raise the quality of care and equip all medical staff to deal with emergency situations as well as provide training for community members, governmental institutions and companies in the vicinity who are interested in basic and advanced life support courses.

Hatta Hospital is a 123-bed multi-specialty hospital located in Hatta city centre. The health facility is an addition to the DHA's network of hospitals and health centres and is aimed at providing a people-focussed health Care in the emirate of Dubai.

The modern two-storey health facility occupies an area of 10,430 square metres near the new Sha'biah in Hatta. Having a population of 40,000 citizens in its vicinity, the Hospital has visiting patients from nearby towns like Al Huwaylat, Al Minayei, Masfout,Al Muzaireh, Al Madam, Al Shuwaib and some parts of the Sultanate of Oman.

The opening ceremony was attended by senior DHA members including Saif Abdulla Bin Lewali, CEO of Hatta Hospital, Dr. Amer Mohammad Al Zarooni, Director of Medical Affairs of Hatta Hospital, Dr. Khalil Qayed, Director of Medical Education Dr. Mohammed Nassif, Head of Training Centre, Medical Education Department, Khawla Humaid Belhool, Project Manager and Bindhu Misbahudeen, Senior Training Officer.
