HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has received the Society Personality of the Year 2014 Award at Dubai Educational Zone's ceremony to honour educational and social personalities and strategic partners, and sponsors. Al Tayer thanked Lt. Gen. Tamim, Dr. Ahmad Eid Al Mansouri, and strategic partners for this honour. He commended their efforts and wished them further success and progress.

"At DEWA, we always work to strengthen our relationships with our partners and stakeholders to achieve common strategic objectives, contribute to sustainable development and ensure the highest standards of excellence in the services we provide to our partners and customers. This supports the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the Dubai Plan 2021," said Al Tayer.

"We strive to strengthen joint work with organisations, government organisations, and the private sector in the UAE, and build long-term relationships based on trust and mutual respect. We work together to improve performance, simplify procedures, develop customer services, and support organisational development. We support Dubai Educational Zone's efforts to improve the position of teachers and enhance their role in the educational process and drive the sustainable development of Dubai," added Al Tayer.

"We have honoured HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer for his continuous support for Dubai Educational Zone and its schools, whether by providing these schools with power or sponsoring them on different occasions. DEWA is a strategic partner. It has established DEWA Academy to enhance vocational training in electricity and water. This is a good step by DEWA as it took into account students' preferences in specialising in electricity and water," said Dr. Al Mansouri.
