Gov't serious about rationalising energy consumption -- Batayneh
ZARQA -- Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Alaa Batayneh on Monday said the government is serious about rationalising energy consumption and reducing expenses to address the budget deficit.During a visit to the Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company ( JPRC ), the minister said the government is planning to stop using 5,000 public vehicles due to their high fuel consumption.
JPRC CEO Abdul Karim Alaween said the refinery has implemented several energy rationalisation projects which saved 36,000 tonnes of fuel annually.
