Athens, (SANA) - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), Eliseos Vagenas, on Monday stressed the deliberate falsification by global mass media coverage of the events taking place in Syria, particularly by al-Jazeera TV Satellite Channel which works as a center for broadcasting false information about Syria.
In a statement to the Greek newspaper Rizospastis, he said that the videos broadcast by al-Jazeera allegedly from Syria are actually taken from events in other countries.
Vagenas added that the resignation of some journalists revealed al-Jazeera policy in falsifying facts before presenting them to the public opinion.
He said "the presence of armed members in Syria indicates the extent of foreign intervention in its affairs with the aim of escalating tension and creating sectarian sedition.
Vagenas said "the US, the EU and Israel are interested in creating a state of instability in Syria, warning against attempts targeting Syria's stability as well as stability and security in the region through wars and foreign intervention.
