Gulf News
Abu Dhabi The Abu Dhabi Health Authority ( Seha ) is renewing its focus on service provision to outpatients at home in a move to further its mission of providing health care services to the elderly residents and citizens of Abu Dhabi.
With the aim of gaining the trust of patients, promoting community communication, and listening to community requests and suggestions, Seha will be visiting patients at their homes across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western region this summer.
The Seha initiative — titled the ‘Al Bir Wal Ehsan’ campaign — will include routine check-ups and a slew of home health care services. Seha hospitals, including Tawam and SKMC , currently offer dedicated home care departments.
“Our multi-disciplinary home care team includes physicians, nurses, an occupational therapist, a respiratory therapist, and a dietician,” Dr Akhtar said.
