Air Arabia launches Moroccan unit

Dubai: Sharjah-based budget carrier Air Arabia said it launched Air Arabia Maroc - Morocco's new low-cost carrier - at the Mohammad V Airport in Casablanca on Wednesday.

The event was attended by Karim Gellab, Morocco's Minister of Equipment and Transport along with Shaikh Abdullah Bin Mohammad Al Thani, chairman of Air Arabia . Also in attendance were Mohammad Hassan Bensalah, chairman of Air Arabia Maroc and other dignitaries.

Air Arabia Maroc will start operations on May 6 with the inaugural flight to Stansted Airport in London, followed by selected destinations across Europe and North Africa.
