GITEX SHOPPER Fans Set to Rush to DWTC for Sale of the Year
More than AED50 million in prizes on offer
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 28 September 2012:
The biggest sales extravaganza for the Middle East's IT and consumer electronics industry starts tomorrow (Saturday) when GITEX Shopper 2012 welcomes visitors to its new, expanded location at the Dubai World Trade Centre . Running for eight days, from 29 September - 6 October 2012, the show is expected to deliver record deals and bargain offers on more than 30,000 of the latest gadgets and cutting-edge products.
Visitors to this year's show will be delighted with the central location of the show, which enjoys a dedicated Metro station just steps away from the show and additional trains put on for the duration of the event. Ample parking, a smorgasbord of food and beverage outlets and a range of interactive and entertaining activities will add to the festival atmosphere at this year's GITEX Shopper.
"As one of the most anticipated consumer shows in a highly tech-savvy region, GITEX Shopper works with our exhibitors to deliver a show that offers unbeatable deals, the chance to see the latest products being launched into the market, and promises to be a great day out," said Trixee Loh, Senior Vice President, Dubai World Trade Centre , organiser of GITEX Shopper 2012. Technology turns greener every year and this year's show includes initiatives by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority ( DEWA ) to showcase its "Do Good to Planet Earth" campaign, encouraging visitors to actively seek out eco-friendly advances in all consumer electronic technologies.

Visitors can also look forward to an unprecedented AED 50 million worth of prizes being given away during the show, adding excitement to the exclusive show offers and bundled deals being prepared by exhibitors, and the range of fun, interactive activities designed to entertain and engage. From outdoor gaming zones hosted by celebrity DJs to street dance performances and hourly giveaways throughout the show, GITEX Shopper promises something for everyone.
GITEX Shopper 2012 will take place from 29 September - 6 October 2012. The show is open from 11:00am - 10:00pm from Saturday 29 September to Wednesday 3 October; from 11am - 11pm on Thursday 4 October to Saturday 6 October. For the first time ever, the event will open for longer hours on Fridays from 11:00am.
Tickets are priced at AED 30 per person and are available at the venue and online through Time Out Tickets, Ticketingco, EPPCO and ENOC petrol stations and Zoom convenience stores. Entry is free for children under the age of five.
