Emaar's shares fell again yesterday, dropping 2.08 per cent and bringing losses to 11.8 per cent since its merger with Sama Dubai, Tatweer and Dubai Properties was reported.
Investors are worried about the merger, as the new entity's proportion of debt to assets will be higher than Emaar's current position.
Trading in the shares may also be suspended while the merger goes through.
