The Four Seasons Hotel project is estimated to result in direct and indirect economic benefits for Bahrain that will equal approximately $300million over the next five to seven years, with GCC tourism expected to contribute strongly to these benefits, the developers said on Monday.
“The Four Seasons Hotel project demonstrates the long-term commitment of developers to Bahrain’s sustainable future, and the project has already created more than 700 jobs, many of which are filled by Bahraini nationals. Situated on a private island at the heart of Bahrain Bay – the country’s highest-profile waterfront community – the luxury hotel is set to inject new capital and create further careers in the real estate and hospitality sectors upon its completion in April 2014,” Bahrain Bay in a statement said.
The management team of Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay has confirmed the project is currently ahead of schedule, with the fifth level of towers now completed and logged over 500,000 accident-free working hours on site. Contractor Six Construct, who have developed major projects in the region such as the Burj Khalifa (Dubai), Ferrari World (Abu Dhabi), Khalifa Stadium (Doha) and Bahrain’s North Manama Causeway, have a 1200-strong team, who are utilising a two-shift-work pattern to optimise project completion.
“The Four Seasons Hotel project demonstrates that Bahrain is committed to emerging from recent issues with a strengthened economy,” he said.“The project shows a commitment from the investment community in future GCC tourism both on a business and leisure level.”
At 201 meters in height, 50-storeys, and 263 guest rooms, the hotel complex is positioned to Bahrain’s hospitality credentials, and set a new standard in luxury accommodation in the country. Complete with world-class spa and leisure facilities, suspended ‘Sky Pod’ restaurant, superior meeting and event space, four unique dining options, and panoramic city and sea views for guestrooms and suites, the project has been designed to lead Bahrain’s hotel offerings into a new era.
