Dubai: A fish delivery service is to be started by the fishermen’s association in Dubai. The service will be available b 24/7 and will offer a variety of quality fish to customers’ houses and businesses.
The service was initiated in order to support and encourage the local fishermen’s trade by Engineer Khalid Selaiteen, chairman of the Ccmmercial projects committee and board member of the fishermen’s association in Dubai.
Selaiteen told Gulf News that the fish variety is chosen based on the preference of the different nationalities living in Dubai. He stated that the service will offer customers a choice of cut, cleaned and packaged fish by specialised and trained staff members.
He added that even the packaging and vehicles used will be custom-designed in order to maintain the temperature and freshness of the fish. Stressing the importance of quality Selaiteen said: “To ensure the quality of our service we are going to employ computerised system where the customer’s location and information is saved in order to ensure the ease and speed of orders. Once delivered to customers’ houses the method of payment can vary from cash to Visa. To ensure customer satisfaction customer would be provided with a special complaint telephone line.
Selaiteen concluded that once the service is launched it will not only be beneficial to local fishermen but also to customers as having the fish delivered to their house will help them avoid the crowded fish markets as well as ensure the quality of the fish and prevent any cheating For any enquires about the fishermen’s association’s fish delivery service call the toll-free number 8007766.
