Emirates has officially inaugurated its dedicated customer contact centre in Dubai.
Acting as a global information hub for its customers', the centre has been purpose built utilising state-of-the-art technology, the airline said.
Since opening last year, the centre has handled over three million customer calls, averaging around 15,000 per day.
"As the airline continues to expand, it is important that we continue to evolve our customer service experience to keep up with increased demand and our new contact centre is an excellent example of this," said its chairman and chief executive Shaikh Ahmed bin Saeed al Maktoum.
The new centre is linked virtually to the airline's contact centres in other regions, creating a seamless customer experience and a broader base of employees to service customers globally, the airline said.
It offers multiple languages including English, Arabic, Russian, French and Spanish. The nearly 800 staff members are a diverse mix of 40 nationalities, including 68 UAE nationals.
About 75 per cent of all calls handled are from the UAE market. The remaining calls are from international markets supported by the centre.
Emirates' customer contact centre can be reached through 04 214 4444, in Dubai or 600555555 from other parts of the UAE.
The airline has also officially inaugurated its new customer sales office at Seef Mall in Bahrain.
The office will help the airline to streamline customer bookings, it said. It covers 748sqm and features 10 customer service counters dedicated to flight bookings, Emirates Holidays' reservations and general customer enquiries.
