Emaar to unveil new mosque in Downtown Dubai

Dubai:For quite some time now, Downtown Dubai has been known for its wide-ranging shopping opportunities and tourist destinations including the world’s largest mall and the world’s tallest man-made structure. The newest addition to this ever growing property development will satisfy yet another need of its residents as a 15,000 sq ft- mosque is currently underway.
Global property developer Emaar Properties PJSC has unveiled the ‘Shaikh Zayed Bin Mansour Al Nahyan Mosque’ for Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, to be built in an area of over 40,000 sq ft in Downtown Dubai, near The Old Town development.
“We are thankful to His Highness Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the opportunity to host this mosque in Downtown Dubai,” Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director of Emaar Properties , said.
The mosque will be designed in elegant traditional architectural style featuring prayer halls for men and women. With a seating capacity for 800 people, the mosque will include a Holy Quran study room, a dedicated prayer hall for over 85 women, along with designated parking spaces.
