CAIRO, Feb 2 (Reuters) - Privately owned Egyptian Leisure Airlines will buy at least five jets from Sukhoi Civil Aircraft and form a joint venture with the Russian firm in a deal to be signed on Tuesday, an Egyptian source said.

The carrier could buy a further 40 of the Superjet 100 planes for delivery over the next three years, the source told Reuters.

The first five would be expected to arrive before the end of April, said the source.

According to a copy of the as-yet-unsigned agreement, it commits Egyptian Leisure to buying four planes with options for a further six in the first phase.

The fleet would be used for internal and regional flights.

Further details about the joint venture were not immediately available.
