According to the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS), there were 29 per cent fewer tourists visiting Egypt in the last quarter of 2011, compared to the same period in 2010.
According to the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS), there were 29 per cent fewer tourists visiting Egypt in the last quarter of 2011, compared to the same period in 2010.
The number of tourists who came to Egypt in the last quarter of 2010 was 4.2 million, but the flow dropped to 2.9 million last year.
The number of tourist nights, CAPMAS said, plunged from 38.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2010, to 33.9 million during the same period in 2011.
