Bahrain/Qatar regulations: QFC Regulatory Authority, Bahrain central bank joining forces

The Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Bahrain Monetary Agency (central bank) to enable to two agencies to co-operate in the supervision of financial institutions operating in both the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) and Bahrain.

Meanwhile the QFC Regulatory Authority has made a high-profile appointment to its appeals tribunal. The court will be presided over by Lord Woolf, a former Master of the Rolls and Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, until his retirement in September 2005.
