MUSCAT -- Desert Dunes International (DDI), a subsidiary of Golden Dunes International, has announced the establishment of an agency relationship with SAW International of Saudi Arabia, who are the Middle East and Africa distributors for the promising energy efficiency products Koolsola and Inflector.
Koolsola is a unique hybrid solar air-conditioner and water heating solution that can help users reduce up to 60 per cent of their energy consumption versus conventional systems. The air-conditioner is available as a split unit or for central systems.
Inflector is a Nasa developed insulating material which can be used in all buildings including hotels, offices and houses to reduce the solar gain in our sun drenched buildings. Inflector reflects up to 92 per cent of the damaging UV rays and 72 per cent of radiant heat back out through the windows and can also be rotated to keep the heat in the building during winter when called upon.
With Koolsola and Insulator working hand-in-hand, the end result is that users would be getting energy-conserving buildings, which means significantly reduced utility bills for businesses and homeowners.
DDI are convinced these systems can provide much needed cooling and water heating solutions for schools, mosques, government buildings and new residential projects across the Sultanate and serve to provide relief to remote areas and facilities not yet connected to the electricity grid.
Hamdan al Shaqsy, Group Chairman and CEO of Golden Dunes International, stated: "SAW International is the type of vibrant company that we are always on the lookout to work with. It is a double blessing that they are the distributors of technology driven products which we have been eyeing to bring into Oman for some time now. In totality, these products present DDI with the opportunity to assist the government in its long-term goals to lower the overall energy consumption across Oman and increase efficiency in the use of energy."
Salah al Waheb, CEO of SAW International, said, "All of us at SAW International are excited about our new relationship with DDI and the GDI group, and we are pleased to be associated with a group like GDI that shares our dedication to providing timely and highest quality products to our customers.
We see this relationship as a platform for further success in Oman and African markets."
