Dar Al Atta inks training agreement with Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Hotel
Month-long training course to empower Omani women in hospitality and catering skills
Muscat, March 07 2012:
Dar Al Atta, a non-profit charity organization in Oman, has inked an agreement with Shangri-la Barr Al Jissah Hotel for training Omani women seeking to empower skills and knowledge. The month-long programme will offer hands-on training in food preparation besides empowering the participants with technical skills in hospitality management with the overall view to prepare them for participating successfully in economic development of their family, society and nation in future with a strong foundation and unique skills set.
As a facilitator of this training course which comes as part of a charity initiative, Maryam AL-Zidjali, head of Dar Al Atta said: "This project is an exciting opportunity for Omani women who want to acquire professional guidance and hands-on training in essential food safety and hospitality skills. Both knowledge channels are acquired through their application: by preparing food in a real kitchen environment.
"We are happy to enter into such an agreement with Dar Al Atta that will help Omani women train under our professional supervision for a month. As an organization, Dar Al Atta focuses on helping people to become self-reliant by encouraging them to acquire new skills needed for starting their own businesses and we appreciate such initiatives," said a spokes person from Shangri-la Barr Al Jissah Hotel.
