Abu Dhabi, 11th May 2009 (WAM): National Corporation for Tourism & Hotels (NCT&H) has made waves at the Arab Travel Market ATM, generating promising, positive results and feedback.

The NCT&H took part at the ATM, the industry's leading travel and tourism exhibition in Dubai, as part of the pavilion of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA).

The marketing and sales team of the Corporation has convened a seriesof business-to-business meetings with major Gulf and Arab tourism and travel agencies to promote its attractive packages for the spring and summer seasons at its group of hotels and resorts in Abu Dhabi.

The meetings explored the possibility of striking deals with those operatorsto attract more holidaymakers to Danat Hotels and Resorts, the hotel division of the NCT&H.

The NCT&H views the ATM as a premier travel and tourism exhibition in the Middle East and Gulf region.

At the ATM, the NCT&H showcased its latest signature 'Hotel Le Bristol Abu Dhabi'. The Hotel is the first trade mark out of Europe for Oetker Hotel Collection, one of the most prestigious European luxury hotel companies. The ultra deluxe hotel is scheduled to open in the capital Abu Dhabi in 2012 and will definitely set new standards in the hospitality sector in the Middle East.

Once operational, Le Bristol Abu Dhabi will feature 250 luxury guestrooms with a minimum size of 40 square metres and suites with private fitness and amenities. Guest facilities and services will include various exciting and contemporary gastronomic choices with a high market Caf and a gourmet restaurant, a selection of banqueting rooms with daylight and stunning seaside views for up to 300 persons.

The NCT&H signed at the ATM an agreement with Millennium and Copthorne Middle East Holding Ltd, the Abu Dhabi based global hotel and resort operators, to manage and operate its new hotel project in Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), Abu Dhabi.

located on one of Abu Dhabis major city entrances; Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street, the impressive 5-star deluxe hotel will be managed under the luxurious brand "Grand Millennium". The hotel will feature 725 rooms , suites & apartments. Along with 14 state of the art meeting and conference facilities, as well as over 10 international Food & Beverage Outlets, with a Grand Ballroom for up to 1000 guests. The expected opening is on Q3 2011.

This initiative will further boost Abu Dhabis plan to expand its tourism and business infrastructure with close relationship with ADTA.

Miss Rima Al Rawas, Manager of Marketing, Danat Hotels and Resorts of the NCT&H, said the hotel group has launched at the ATM a host of special summer offers across their luxury properties up to September 15 to attract families from within the UAE and GCC countries.

''These packages aim to activate inter-emirates tourism and lure families from the UAE and Gulf countries to spend their vacations in Abu Dhabi,''she said.

She noted that online booking at the group's chain of hotels and resorts is on the rise for clients wanting to save time and costs. ''The visitor can easily enjoy stay and entertainment at affordable prices,''she added.

''Marketing and reservation via the internet are gaining growing publicity in the region and beyond. The facility provides us with a valuable window to launch our new products and have reach out to wide base of tourists at lower costs,''she noted.

Al Rawas affirmed that Abu Dhabi will experience no slowdownin tourist inflow given the raft of incentives and attractions delivered by the sector in terms of competitive prices and high quality and luxury services with the assistance of the ADTA.
