Damascus - The Administrative Board of Damascus Securities Exchange issued Thursday a decision giving the final approval of enrollment for three companies in Damascus Securities Exchange.

The United Group Company for Publishing, Advertisement and Marketing (UG) and the Arab Bank Syria and al-Ahlyah Company for Transport have all got the final approval of enrollment to join Banque Bemo Saudi Fransi which is the first approved company in Damascus Securities Exchange. By the issuance of the three companies enrolment decision, the number of companies has become 4 distributed between the formal market and the parallel market, while the number of companies which got the preliminary approval amounted 6 which are Bank of Syria and Overseas, the International Bank for Trade and Finance, Audi Bank of Syria, the Agricultural Engineering Investment Company, al-Ahlya Company for Vegetable Oils, as well as the Syrian Arab Company for Tourism Constructions.

Enrollment is considered one of the main steps which precede the circulation at the securities. Damascus Securities Exchange launched its trial circulation at the end of January 2009 with six companies; the official inauguration is to be on March 10th with two circulation sessions on Monday and Thursday every week.
