Damascus - Members of Damascus Chamber of Commerce discussed on Tuesday with a Turkish delegation from the Aksaray Young Industrialists and Businessmen Association (AGIAD) means for establishing joint investments and increasing trade exchange between the two countries.
The two sides reviewed commercial and investment opportunities available in the two countries and means for benefiting from agreements signed between them to expand cooperation.
Deputy Chairman of Damascus Chamber of Commerce Bahha el-Din Hasan said that the Syrian-Turkish relations provide to businessmen broad prospects for developing their business whether in Syria and Turkey, affirming that the two countries' historic relations and neighboring status were important factors in developing the relations between them.
He called on Turkish businessmen to benefit from Syria's geographic- location and the agreements such as the Greater Arab Free Trade Zone to increase the flow of products heading to Arab markets.
For his part, Chairman of AGIAD Reha Guven underlined the prospects of cooperation available to Syrian and Turkish businessmen, affirming that businessmen in the city of Aksaray wish to establish economic, commercial and investment partnerships with their Syrian counterparts.
The Turkish delegation includes 15 representations of companies specializing in the fields of metal industries, cars, trains, animal feed, construction materials, and more.
