MUSCAT -- Dalma Energy, one of the leading drilling contractors in the Sultanate celebrated its successful completion of Saih-Rawl turnkey project that started in July 2005 with a base scope of drilling & completing 36 deep gas wells in Saih-Rawl field during a ceremony held at Shangri-La Hotel. The celebration, attended by Dalma office and corporate personnel including Phil Woods, CEO, Said Ismaily, Corporate HR Manager, D Hazarika, Corporate QHSE Manager, indicated that Dalma, as of date, has completed 37 wells and the last three wells are on going making to a total of 40 wells.

Top dignitaries from Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) including Eamon Gorman UWD, Moghrob Asmy, UWS and Raymond Corbett, UWD1 along with top dignitaries from British Petroleum were present. Other dignitaries present were Pawl Victor, Reed Hycalog, Maarten Van den Boss, Neyrfor, Danny Selimovic, Weatherford, Ian Robertson, Halliburton, Jasim al Mohammed, Hughes Christensen and K K Nayak, Shivani Oil and Gas.

In his speech, Eamon Gorman from PDO congratulated the skilled team of Dalma and expressed that PDO has saved $21 million on this project as Dalma fulfilled its well-delivery target three months before the time. Phil Woods, CEO-Dalma, thanked the entire team including Dalma's partners in this project. Selected members of the team were also awarded for their exemplary contribution to the success of the project.
