ConEXpro to showcase construction trends

MUSCAT -- ConEXpro, a three-day exhibition for Building Materials, Construction Equipment and Property sector, is scheduled to be held from Tuesday, at the Oman International Exhibition Centre. This event is being organised by Future Event LLC, supported by the PEIE and OSE and seeks to establish itself as a potential podium for tapping the current trends in the industry.
The opening of the exhibition will be held under the auspices of Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al Maimani, undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for Administrative, Financial and Estates Affairs. Organisers briefed the press in a conference held recently at Radisson Blu Hotel.
ConEXpro is the right blending of two specialised pavilions under one brand, as it is featuring both the construction and property segments. The first edition of ConEXpro will showcase building materials, heavy equipment as well as a large number of real estate and property developers from India.
The property pavilion is being supported by Nu Media Associates and Impresario Event Management India Limited. ConEXpro will have one of the largest Indian property pavilions till date and it will showcase more than 200 upcoming attractive projects in various cities all over India. The pavilion will showcase some of the biggest names in the Indian real estate industry like Abad Builders, Jewel Homes, Nagarjuna Construction Co., NRI City, Confident Group, Asset Homes, Sreeram Properties, Our Town, Skyline Builders, Galaxy homes and many more leading builders and developers from across the prime cities of India like Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, NCR Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad. CREDAI-Kerala, with more than 25 companies will be making its maiden appearance in the show. Prime residential plots, villas, flats and apartments will be on display with special Diwali offers. According to Indian tradition Diwali signifies the best time to invest in assets. This time around, it will make good investment sense in buying property, since the real estate market is on the upswing due to the realistic and affordable prices. The current market rates were similar to mid-2006 levels when the market was just picking up and it is the best time to buy your dream home.
First of its kind
Speaking at the press conference, Saleh Al Abri, managing director, Future Event, said: "This exhibition is the first of its kind in the Sultanate. Several international companies are participating in the event including countries like Germany, Italy, Turkey and India."
"More than 70 companies are taking part in this upcoming event. Local companies will only participate via construction segment," Saleh added.
NRI Investors and customers should cash in on this golden opportunity and avail of the best pricing and lower costs. Real estate is still proving to be the most reliable and stable investment option in the long term. Investors now can also immediately book profits with the prices guaranteed to go up north, says Ranjit Jose, CEO, NU Media Associates.
The other point to note is that with steady economic recovery, the residential real estate in India is growing again. Better corporate results, government incentives and lower bank interest on home loans are all fuelling the demand in the real-estate sector. "Such events should be organised once a year," said S. Bala Subramanian, general manager sales and marketing, Al Fairuz , adding: "The waited event will be helpful for people. It gives good input. However, we call for more parties to support such
events."
Mehaboob Qasim, managing director, Steadfast National Projects, said: "The event would be the best platform where customers will be coming to our doors. It will be a good function where we will coordinate with people." ConEXpro is officially supported by the Oman Society of Engineers and the Public Establishment of Industrial Estates. The event is sponsored by Al Fairuz Trading and Cont. LLC, MRPCO, Confident Group, Rustomjee, and Ramky Group.
