January 18, 2015, UAE - The Coca-Cola Company and the Regional Food Banking Network renewed their partnership successfully for the 3rd consecutive year during a memorable signing ceremony that took place in Lebanon. The two organizations enjoy a fruitful relationship the results of which led to the delivery of over 4.5 million meals to under privileged families across the region. These contributions form the cornerstone of the 'Eradication of Hunger by 2020' initiative, jointly implemented by Coca-Cola Middle East and the Food Banking Regional Network. Through this program, the Coca-Cola Company once again contributes to positive change in the communities it proudly serves through partnerships with local bottlers. Millions go to bed hungry every night, but as Coca-Cola emphasizes, for every reason to despair, there are reasons to hope.

Moez El Shohdi Co-Founder & CEO of The Food Banking Regional Network, stated: "We would like to thank Coca-Cola Middle East for their continued partnership and for dedicating their time, people, and trucks. Together we are not just working toward the eradication of hunger; we are also making a difference in the lives of local people and their respective communities. Through their support we are able to safely transfer food boxes to remote areas, and with their generous donations we are able to provide meals and refreshing beverages to underprivileged families."

The 'Eradication of Hunger by 2020' program began in two countries (Lebanon & Jordan) but expanded every year to roll out in more countries. Currently the program reaches Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine and Saudi Arabia and has brought joy to millions of families, including Syrian Refugees. All this is facilitated by the local Food Banks and Coca-Cola teams based in each country. .

Antoine Tayyar, Director of Public Affairs and Communications for Coca-Cola Middle East, said: "The continuation of our partnership with the Food Banking Regional Network is an extension of responsible

corporate citizenship that began in our earliest days as a company. After all, our Company can only be as healthy as the people and communities we strive to refresh. We would also like to thank our bottling partners who not only dedicated their resources, but also their time to help us in our mission to distribute meals and beverages to Syrian Refugee Camps."

The collaborative efforts of the Food banking Regional Network and Coca-Cola Middle East contributes to raising awareness about the need for such partnerships in order  to support  communities in need.
