Riyadh Economic Forum

Industrial Investment Opportunities Forum

Riyadh - 13 December 2011- Two major events in the coming weeks will see Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) at the forefront of Saudi private sector support to government-backed initiatives to step up investment in knowledge-based industrial production, create jobs for citizens and address local, regional and international economic problems.

CPC is participating as Gold Sponsor of the Riyadh Economic Forum, Dec. 17-19 in the Saudi capital. This will be followed by the Industrial Investment Opportunities Forum (O5) organized by the Saudi Industrial Property Authority (MODON), Dec. 20, in Riyadh with CPC as co-sponsor.

"CPC wholly supports such major industrial and think tank activities in view of the government's efforts to develop economic performance and expand industrial investment in Saudi Arabia, the overall Gulf region's drive to increase industrial investment, and our 2012 expansion plans," said Dr. Faysal Alaquil, Director of Business Development and official spokesperson of CPC.

The Riyadh Economic Forum reflects a genuine partnership between the public and private sectors, Alaquil said. Organized by the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) every two years, and now in its fifth edition, the Forum will discuss ways to strengthen private sector support of the national economy with creative initiatives that address pressing economic problems and issues.

"The Forum makes a valuable contribution to drawing up comprehensive and long-term strategies for sustainable development by addressing the future outlook and constraints on the basis of scientific studies rather than unrealistic goals," Dr. Alaquil said: "Its methodology is excellent, unique and based on well-studied collective effort."

At the Industrial Investment Opportunities Forum, MODON will unveil the 10 best investment opportunities available in the five industrial cities coming up in various regions of Saudi Arabia. "More than 300 potential investors representing major international companies will be attending," Dr. Alaquil said.

MODON is a government agency tasked with establishing, developing and operating industrial cities and technology zones in partnership with the private sector. It provides the facilities and modern technologies to ensure the best possible environment for investors to work and produce.

"CPC is co-sponsoring the forum to support the government's efforts to increase industrial investment and employment opportunities for its citizens," Dr. Alaquil said.

CPC is based in Jeddah with branches in Riyadh, Dammam, Bahra, Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Doha, and Damascus and soon in Algeria. The company works mainly in the area of production and installation of basic construction material such as steel, marble, granite, prefabricated pre-casting concrete, glass, adhesives, electrical cables, aluminum and electromechanical, wooden and finished works, all of which is supported by its own company specialized in transportation and logistics services.
