Cairo: 15 January 2012 - CI Capital Holding has appointed Mr. Karim Baghdady as Senior Director USA Sales. In his new role, Mr. Baghdady would support sourcing business from institutional investors in the US market and build a sustainable clientele base.

On taking up his appointment, Mr Baghdady said, "I am delighted to be joining CI Capital to be taking on such an important role. I look forward to bringing my extensive experience of Middle Eastern markets and companies and the largest U.S. institutional investors to invest in Egypt.".  "I am very optimistic and committed to deliver seamless securities equity sales and play a dynamic role in the continued and growing success of CI Capital" he added.

Mr. Baghdady was formerly the Managing Director of Beltone Enclave Securities Equity Sales, Beltone Financial's New York arm, which he was instrumental in establishing in 2006. He has a broad knowledge of MENA markets and companies and has been the point of contact for some the largest U.S. institutional investors in Middle East over the past few years.

In 2008, he organized the first Egypt and MENA conferences at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and subsequent ones in 2009 and 2010. Over the three years, the conferences generated over 400 one-on-one meetings between U.S. institutional investors and Middle Eastern companies.

Before joining CI Capital, Mr. Baghdady spent ten years at the NYSE where, in 2002, he became a member (the first Arab-American to become a member of the NYSE). He worked for the direct-access firm Mogavero, Lee & Co. and represented multi-billion dollar institutional clients.
