With over 24 years of experience at renowned Bahrain based Volkswagen dealers Behbehani Brothers WLL, Mr. Wilson A. A. Perera retired on 13 March 2008.

In recognition of his many years of unforgettable service, dedication and hard work, the Volkswagen team organized a luncheon retirement party that was hosted in Mr. Perera's honor on 8th March at the Volkswagen Showroom, Sitra.

"I have had the pleasure of working with Mr. Perera for the past 3 years at Behbehani's Volkswagen Service Centre. It is always sad for us to lose someone with such experience and knowledge. We wish him all the happiness after his retirement. He will be missed by all our staff," said Chris Johnson, the Service Manager of Volkswagen.

'I had made a decision 24 years ago to come to Bahrain and I believe it was the best decision I have ever made! I started work with Behbehani Brothers and worked hard to increase and improve my skills and worked my way up through the company. I have watched as Behbehani has grown to become the company that it is today. The only reason I am leaving is because I have reached retirement age, otherwise I would have loved to stay in Bahrain with all my friends. I am finding it very difficult to think that I will shortly be leaving this wonderful country and its people. I have enjoyed every minute that I have been in Bahrain, the time seems to have flown by it certainly does not seem like I have been here for 24 years,' said an emotional Mr. Perera.

After a moving speech by Chris Johnson, Mr. Perera was presented with a certificate of achievement and a parting gift. Mr. Perera expressed his genuine admiration and high regard for Behbehani Brothers and its employees and wished the company the very best for the future.
