The tranquil settings of Musannah's Millennium Resort overlooking the blue expanse of the Sea of Oman provided a perfect backdrop for a weekend of reflection and deliberation by Bank Sohar's top management on the Bank's future course of action.
Aptly coined 'The Way Ahead', the two-day meeting was convened by Dr Mohamed Abdulaziz Kalmoor - CEO Bank Sohar, and attended by the Bank's core management team. With the CEO presiding over the proceedings, attendees brainstormed a number of key issues important for Bank Sohar's future strategy. A notable highlight of the meeting was a presentation by the CEO on the Bank's vision and strategy to meet well-defined growth objectives through an emphasis on banking excellence and superior service delivery.
"As the theme, 'The Way Ahead', suggests, this programme was an opportunity for all of us to ponder,
discuss, share and agree on a clear-cut strategy for the Bank - both qualitative and quantitative. The deliberations throughout were conducted in a spirit of professionalism and collaboration, which have long been hallmark of our corporate success" said Dr Mohamed Abdulaziz Kalmoor, CEO, Bank Sohar.
"The friendly and intimate format of these meetings, held away from the stress and pressures of the workplace, has always provided the right kind of atmosphere for engaging deliberations on matters of importance to the Bank.
Policy decisions and growth strategies that are endorsed at such high-level meetings are then communicated to the rest of the staff in line with the management's philosophy of promoting transparency and employee inclusiveness," added Munira Macki, DGM Human Resources & Corporate Support.
