Airline offers double daily flights between Bahrain and Cairo

Manama - Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, today announced it will increase its flights between Bahrain and Cairo from 12to 14 weekly flights (double daily)from 24th August to meet high passenger demand following successful negotiations between the Kingdom of Bahrain's Civil Aviation Authority and the Arab Republic of Egypt's Civil Aviation Authority, to increase air traffic rights between the two countries.

With one of the largest Middle East networks, Bahrain's national carrier is well positioned to link regional travelers to Cairo and allow seamless movement from the Egyptian capital to several key regional and Asian destinations with excellent connectivity via Bahrain International Airport to prominent cities in the Gulf, the Indian Sub-continent and the Far East such as Dubai, UAE, Bangkok, Thailand and Delhi, India in less than two hours.

Gulf Air's Acting Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Ahmed Janahi said: "Gulf Air's increased Cairo service will mean a greater connection to one of our national carrier's longstanding routes. We are always looking to satisfy the high demand to and from Cairo and cater to passenger needs on this popular route. With twice daily flightsbetween Bahrain and Cairo we are offering enhanced schedule flexibility for ourtravelers."

Gulf Air's enhanced schedule will take effect from 24th August and flights can be booked online at www.gulfair.com, by calling the airline's 24 hour Worldwide Contact Centre on (+973) 17373737, or through any Gulf Air sales offices and approved travel agencies.
