KFH-Bahrain assumes key role in promoting housing projects

Kuwait - Deputy Premier Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa, Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Reconstruction and Infrastructure, lauded cooperation between the public and private sectors and the role Kuwait finance House- Bahrain (KFH-Bahrain) assumes in promoting housing projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He added, during his visit to the site of Diyar Al-Muharraq and the Dragon City projects, where he was received by KFH-Bahrain Chairman Ahmed Al-Aiban, Diyar Al-Muharraq Chairman Abdulhakim Al-Khayyat and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Maher Al-Shaer, that Dragon City project is expected to open its doors during the third quarter of this year. He described the mega development scheme as a major boost which will spur the growth of the retail sector and meet customer needs.

Moreover, He stressed that this project along with other landmark projects whose overall value averages a total of USD 22 billion will boost the economy of the kingdom and will contribute in diversifying income resources and attracting investments that assist in creating paradigm job opportunities in the kingdom.

Meanwhile, Diyar Al-Muharraq Chief Executive Officer Dr. Maher Al-Shaer expressed his deep confidence in Diyar Al-Muharraq project as it plays a key role in the housing development in Bahrain and meets the economic vision of Bahrain in terms of income diversification while not relying only on one income resource represented by oil returns.

He indicated that the Dragon City project, located to the South West of Diyar Al-Muharraq, is built on 115,000 square meters of land, with 55,000 sqm retail and wholesale area.
