Abu Dhabi, Mar 10th, 2012 (WAM)--Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Media (ADM), Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, announced today that the Board has appointed Ayman Safadi as the Chief Executive Officer of ADM.

Safadi replaces Malcolm Robert Wall, who has been appointed Advisor to the Board, effective Sunday March 11th 2012.

The move comes at the end of a twelve month comprehensive business review process that both men have contributed to significantly. The new company strategy resulting from the review will see ADM focus primarily on Arabic content development and distribution.

Al Mazrouei said: "ADMs evolved and re-focused strategy requires the day-to-day leadership of someone with Aymans unique regional experience. Malcolms tenure as CEO has brought us to this point and the Board is extremely grateful for his leadership and contribution. The Board and I look forward to Malcolms continued invaluable contribution in his new role." Al Mazroeui said he was confident that the dedication, skills and commitment of all staff at ADM will ensure that the company will achieve more success and progress in the future.

He also announced that the Board has appointed Saif Saeed Ghobash as Chief Operating Officer of the company.

Safadi has served as Advisor to ADMs Board of Directors since April 2011. He has contributed to the articulation of the Companys new strategy and the development of its new operating model. He also temporarily oversaw support departments at the company.

Ghobash comes from an investment banking and strategy consulting background. Over the past year, Ghobash played a major role in developing ADMs new strategy. He is a graduate of the Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Safadi noted that ADM has made significant progress in implementing the new strategy and in its efforts to develop its performance. He said he looks forward to working with all colleagues on building on the achievements the company has made and on delivering professional and competitive media content that reflects the comprehensive development Abu Dhabi and the UAE are witnessing.

Safadi stressed that a time-lined plan to ensure that national talent assumes leading positions in the company and in the content production process will be developed as soon as possible. This, he said, will be a top priority for ADM.
