DUBAI (Zawya Dow Jones)--PineBridge Investments, a global asset manager with about $69 billion under management, said Sunday it has hired Arun Kumar as chief operating officer and Janick Fierens as a managing director and head of client service at its regional headquarters in Bahrain.
Mr. Kumar had been chief financial officer at Mumtalakat Holding Company, Bahrain's sovereign wealth fund, and worked previously at JPMorgan Chase, PineBridge said in an emailed statement. Mr. Fierens joins from Investcorp, an alternative asset management firm in Bahrain, the statement said.
PineBridge has received a central bank license to set up a regional office in Bahrain covering the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, the statement said. The company in March appointed Talal Al Zain, the former chief executive of Mumtalakat, as its regional head.
