DOHA: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) will complete work on three new hospitals and five health centres by 2014, a local Arabic daily reported yesterday.

The hospitals being built on behalf of the Hamad Medical Corporation include the physiotherapy and rehabilitation centre, one-day surgery hospital and the new women's hospital. The women's hospital will have five surgical rooms, 60 consulting rooms, among other facilities. It will also include an emergency department with 90 single rooms and 60 beds for newborns, said the daily.

The one-day surgery hospital will have 12 rooms for ENT, 11 surgical rooms and a day care wing.
