Kuwait's Abyaar Real Estate Development Co. doesn't intend to start new projects now but is seeking to complete existing projects and settle its financial obligations. Its shareholders approved the writing off of 28.54 million Kuwaiti dinars ($104.1 million) of its KWD34.14 million accumulated losses by using reserves.

Qatar Fertiliser Co., or Qafco, has signed an agreement to supply 15,000 tons of aqueous ammonia annually to the local Ras Girtas Power Co.

QATAR NATL CEMENT TO START TRIAL OPS OF CALCIUM CARBONATE PLANT SOON

Qatar National Cement Co. plans to start early next month trial operations of its 22 million Qatari riyals ($6 million) calcium carbonate plant with a design capacity of 250 tons a day.
