Arab Bank's Delegates Return from Successful One Young World Conference
The three delegates sponsored by Arab Bank included Ms. Afnan Ali, Mr. Rami Al Qadi, and Dr. Zaid Altheeb as they represented Jordan during the three days conference.
Ms. Dina Shoman, Executive Vice President -Branding at Arab Bank , commented: "The One Young World Summit encourages youth to become active and involved in the global debate on important issues that will come to shape their future." Ms. Shoman explained: " Arab Bank sponsored the delegates as part of its commitment to support Jordanian youth and also as part of its strong belief that their involvement in global issues can reflect positively on local community development."
Ms. Afnan Ali, who completed her degree in electrical and communication engineering from the Hashemite University, took a particular interest in the topics of poverty, innovation and entrepreneurship, commented: "The Summit stressed on the importance of dialogue and tolerance between different cultures, faiths and civilizations; overall it was a great learning experience."
Dr. Altheeb, a medical doctor of internal medicine, also commented on his experience at the Summit, saying: "We spent three days sharing ideas and hearing from global leaders in business, politics and activism." Dr. Altheeb also added: "Young people are very important in the Middle East because they represent the majority of the population."
