Amadeus chosen by travel agents as preferred Global Distribution System for hotel booking platform at ATM 2012
Dubai-UAE: 05 May, 2012 - Amadeus, a leading travel technology partner and transaction processor for the global travel and tourism industry, has emerged as the technology provider of choice for the hotel booking platform in the MENA region, according to a poll conducted among travel professionals at Arabian Travel Market, the region's leading travel and tourism trade show.
The selection came following a session entitled 'How to fully utilise the GDS' during which the various global distributors presented their respective solutions to the audience.
Nasser Batha, Regional Director Markets, Middle East and North Africa, Amadeus, delivered a presentation on Amadeus Content Store, an innovative solution to provide travel agencies in the MENA region with cohesive access to over 150,000 hotel properties worldwide sourced from region's leading hotel aggregators at very attractive rates.
Amadeus is the technology provider of choice for the travel industry and is currently present in the MENA region through 17 local Amadeus Commercial Organisations (ACOs) servicing 21 countries.
