Al Maabar Showcases its Achievements Through its “Vision To Reality” Stand at Cityscape Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI, 21 April 2012: Al Maabar marks its presence at this year’s Cityscape Abu Dhabi, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre between April 22 and 25, 2012, with an interactive and innovative concept inspired by the theme “Vision to Reality.”

Al Maabar has a number of key achievements to showcase highlighting its realisation on the ground as the first apartments at the Bab Al Bahr project in Morocco are being delivered and owners are starting to move into the Rabat development. As for Jordan, it will soon be witnessing the launch of sales for Al Raha District, the first phase of its landmark mega development Marsa Zayed in Aqaba. Simultaneously, The Residences at The St Regis Amman will launch sales in the third quarter of this year. All these exciting developments will be showcased during the exhibition.

Commenting on Al Maabar’s participation at Cityscape this year, H.E. Yousef Al Nowais, Managing Director of Al Maabar , states: “We are marking five years since the inception of Al Maabar with exciting news on our projects in Morocco and Jordan. This year realises the vision and reaps the fruitful results of the last five years for the communities of our partner countries, with apartments delivered in Morocco and the launch of sales for both our projects in Jordan.

We achieved a number of significant milestones in our projects last year and 2012 looks set to be equally as exciting and productive. We are delighted to be back at Cityscape showcasing these developments and achievements in Abu Dhabi.”

The company’s innovative stand, which includes a host of informative, digital tools, gives visitors an opportunity to engage and explore for themselves the contemporary and bespoke lifestyles that Al Maabar developments across the region present. It also offers a virtual journey of the Al Maabar story since its inception in 2007 to date.

Bab Al Bahr in Rabat-Salé, Morocco is a joint venture development between Al Maabar and l’Agence pour l’Aménagement de la Vallée du Bouregreg in Morocco. The project will offer a diverse, mixed-use community of residential complexes, hotels, leisure areas, office spaces, shops and art galleries in the heart of the Bouregreg valley. The completion of the project will set a new benchmark of mixed-use developments in Morocco.

Delivery of the Marina and River Front apartments at Bab is currently in progress with the first occupants moving in this spring - a significant milestone for the entire project. 2011 also saw the launch of a new range of apartments in The Arts District - a prestigious district which includes residential complexes built around gardens and surrounded by museums, art galleries and boutiques - and the first of these apartments are set to be delivered in the coming months. The expected completion date for the entire project is 2015.

Marsa Zayed, Al Maabar’s flagship project in the Red Sea city of Aqaba and the largest real estate and tourism project to take place in Jordan’s history, also saw considerable progress last year with the start of infrastructure works on Phase One, which comprises 260 apartments, 195 townhouses, the Sheikh Zayed Masjid and a host of other community facilities. The coming months will now see the launch of sales on this monumental project.

Sales are also set to launch this year for Location The Residences at The St. Regis Amman, set in Amman’s affluent Abdoun district. The 79 private residences that are available for sale – comprising either two, three of four bedrooms as well as duplexes and sky villas – will have access to world-class amenities and facilities. The Residences at The St. Regis Amman will sit alongside the St Regis Amman, which is scheduled to open in 2015.
