Ajman Ruler receives Qatar Tourism Authority Chairman
Ajman, May 2nd, 2012 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council member and ruler of Ajman received at his office in the Emiri Court, Ahmed Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Qatar Tourism Authority and Hamad Abdulla Al Mulla, Chief Executive Officer and member board of directors of Katara Hospitality and the accompanying delegation participating in the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) being staged in Dubai.
H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman also figured during the meeting. Also present were Sheikh Ahmed Bin Humaid Al-Nuaimi, the representative of the Ruler of Ajman for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Chairman of the Department of Tourism Development, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of Ajman Municipality and Planning, Sheikh Dr. Majed Bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Amiri Court, Sheikhs and other senior officials. During the meeting they discussed cooperation in the tourism sector, Sheikh Humaid was briefed on the Qatari experience in tourism and investment opportunities, establishing joint projects with the specialized companies as well as attracting investors and businessmen to develop the sector. Sheikh Humaid welcomed the existing cooperation between Ajman Department of Tourism Development and Qatar Tourism Authority ( QTA ) and urged Ajman Department of Tourism Development to benefit from the Qatari experience and work together in promoting and marketing the emirate in the regional and global events as well as attracting investors and establishing tourism projects in Ajman. He said the rational behind establishing Department of Tourism Development was to promote Ajman due to the tremendous development it achieved in all cultural fields and also to make use of the heritage and archaeological sites in the emirate. The ruler directed to open cooperation and investment fields between Ajman Tourism department and Katara Hospitality as well as coordinating between them to start programs and plans in order to implement tourist projects in the emirate. For his part Ahmed Abdullah Al Nuaimi said that the visit is aimed at acknowledging the vision of Ajman Ruler about tourism sector and its goals.
