Air Arabia launches service to Taif

Air Arabia (PJSC), the MENA's first and largest low-cost carrier, has announced the introduction of services to Taif from the carrier's primary hub in Sharjah. The new service marks Air Arabia 's seventh destination in the Kingdom and 74th worldwide. Beginning June 2, Air Arabia will offer three weekly flights to Taif, making it easier and convenient for passengers to travel between the two countries. Offering 66 weekly non-stop flights to Saudi Arabia from Sharjah, and its Alexandria hub in Egypt, Air Arabia continues to strengthen its intra-regional Arab network offering customers a wider choice for affordable air travel.

Highlighting, in particular, the business opportunities in the Kingdom, Adel Ali, group CEO, Air Arabia , said: "Our new service to Taif validates our commitment to further support growth opportunities that the Saudi Arabian aviation sector offers. Given the strong economies and the commercial demand for air travel between the two countries, we are confident that the new service will offer our customers a new option for affordable air travel and a great connectivity to the wider MENA region."

On Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, flights will depart Sharjah International Airport at 12:15 p.m. arriving at Taif Airport (TIF) at 2:05 p.m. Return flights will depart Taif at 2:45 p.m. arriving Sharjah at 6:30 p.m. In addition to Taif, Air Arabia operates nonstop flights to Madinah, Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Qassim and Yanbu.

Taif, home to over 550,000 residents, lies on the slopes of the Sarawat Mountains. Taif's attractions include Shubra palace, a rock-carving site, Turkish Fort and Wadi Mitna.

Air Arabia aircraft cabin interiors are fitted with world-class comfort seats, offering the highest seat pitch of any economy cabin across the globe. The entire Air Arabia fleet consists of the Airbus 320, world's best ever selling commercial jetliner recognized as the benchmark for single-aisle aircraft.
