ADARRC is a one-stop-shop for clinicians looking for a comprehensive update on adult and pediatric rheumatology

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - In an endeavour to bring to medical professionals latest developments and trends surrounding rheumatology, the 7th annual Abu Dhabi Advanced Rheumatology Review Course (ADARRC) will take place from 21-23 October, 2017 at the iconic Jumeirah Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

ADARRC is a one-stop-shop for clinicians looking for a comprehensive update on adult and pediatric rheumatology. Designed as a three-day, intensive rheumatology course, ADARRC is a series of lectures and workshops delivered by global experts to ensure the attendees gain new insights, case studies and pioneering research findings. The Course is a structured, postgraduate platform, which aims to provide the highest standard of scientific and educational content in order to achieve progress in the clinical care of patients with rheumatic, connective tissue diseases and vasculitis.

“ADARRC was initiated to offer medical professionals and communities latest updates and developments in rheumatology. The conference is a way forward on all the medical issues affecting the segment and seeks to identify best practices and solutions to help advance clinical care in the region,” said Dr. Mustafa Al Maini, Course Director of ADARRC.

“ADARRC is a strategic platform that will bring countries closer for a better and healthier world. While the conference will focus on how we can take action to create the change that we want to see in the health care system, it will also outline strategies that will guide professionals to convert ideas into action,” added Dr. Yaser Ali.

With more than 300 medical professionals to participate in the conference, ADARRC aims to bring together everyone who plays a pivotal role in rheumatology — researchers, patients, providers, technologists and policy leaders — and encourage them to work together to build a framework for health care transformation. ADARRC will showcase the latest breakthroughs in rheumatology and feature international, published experts as Prof. Claire Bombardier - Professor of Medicine and Director of the Division of Rheumatology at the University of Toronto, Canada; Prof. Marco Matucci Cerinic – Professor of Rheumatology and Medicine and Director of Division of Medicine & Rheumatology, University of Florence, Italy; Prof. John Isaacs – Director, Institute of Cellular Medicine and Professor of Clinical Rheumatology New Castle University, UK; Dr. Kazuhiko Yamamoto – Deputy Director of RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Science and President of APLAR, Japan and Prof. Michelle Petri – Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, USA and many more.  The globally recognized panel of Rheumatology experts will provide an advanced learning experience on rheumatology and related fields, and offer comprehensive updates, advanced lectures and workshops in subjects such as Rheumatoid arthritis, Osteoporosis, Paediatric rheumatology, Uveitis, Advanced treatments in lupus, Spondyloarthropathy and many more.

"Healthcare is increasingly global and interconnected. The ADARRC leadership is excited to bring forward this strategic platform that will help healthcare and medical professionals learn about the latest innovations in rheumatology and engage with like-minded professionals from the Middle East and across the world. We’re confident that the attendees will not only have a chance to learn about new and best practices governing rheumatology, but also identify solutions to address issues facing the segment,” concluded Dr. Jamal Al Saleh.

The healthcare sector in the Middle East and UAE particularly has witnessed a lot of changes and reforms in recent years. A report by Mena Research Partners stated that UAE's health care sector is currently witnessing structural shift and poised to record strong growth of 60 per cent in next five years to Dh103 million by 2021.
