Monday, 22 April 2013, United Arab Emirates: Azadea Group, one of the world's fastest growing retail operators based in the Middle East and North Africa, has joined forces with the Dubai-based Al-Futtaim Group to open 27 outlets of the premium brand names in its stable at the upcoming Doha Festival City in the Qatari capital.
An exclusive signing ceremony that brought the two groups together was recently held at the Majlis of the Al Badiya Golf Club in Dubai Festival City, attended by Chairman of AZADEA Group Mr. Wassim Daher, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Said Daher , Managing Director Mr. Hassan Daher and Deputy Chief Executive Officer Mr. Marwan Moukarzel . Among the attendees from the Al-Futtaim Group were Vice Chairman Mr. Omar Al Futtaim, Corporate Development Group Director Mr. Marwan Shehadeh, Real Estate Group Director Mr. Chris O'Donnell, Retail & Leisure Managing Director Mr. Murray Bell, and Co-founder and Partner of M2 Mr. Shahram Shamsaee.
Under the agreement between the two retail majors, Azadea will be opening 27 of its premium brand names at the upcoming Doha Festival City, the ultimate retail and lifestyle destination in the dynamic and progressive capital city of Qatar. The Doha Festival City will be one of the biggest malls in Qatar and is expected to open in 2016, offering not only retail, but entertainment, hospitality, supermarket and automotive showrooms as well.
